Evil Bikes recommends using only a torque wrench when assembling any part of your bike. Below is a list of specific items and their respective torque values.
Torque specifications are laser-etched on each of the linkage bolts for quick reference. It’s important to note that over-tightening or under-tightening bolts may result in damage to the bike.

FAQ
How do I adjust my Flip Chips?
All Evil Bikes are shipped with the Flip Chips in the “Low” position. Follow the steps below to switch to “X-Low”.
- Remove two Bone Link Bolts from each side of the frame (total - 4)
- Remove the Bone Links on each side
- Remove three Flip Chip Bolts from each side of the frame (total - 6)
- Remove Flip Chips on each side
- Invert both Flip Chips 180° on a horizontal axis so that “X-Low” now faces up.
- Repeat the process above in reverse to re-install. Be sure to use a torque wrench upon assembly. These bolts are rated to 65 in/lbs & may fail beyond their specified torque rating.
What derailleur hanger does my bike utilize?
The Offering LS uses a SRAM Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH). These can be purchased on our Parts page, or at just about any local bike shop.
Which bottom bracket (BB) standard does my bike utilize?
The Offering LS utilizes a threaded BSA 73mm bottom bracket. We recommend pairing bottom bracket & crankset brands to ensure seamless compatibility.
Boujee mixed-brand combination of bottom bracket & crankset? As much as we would like to help, we can’t possibly know the stats of every available configuration. Please reference manufacturer specs for your bottom bracket & crankset.
What crankset spacing does my bike require?
The Offering LS is designed to accommodate both 55mm & 56.5mm chainlines.
- For 55mm chainline:
- DUB Wide crank spindle
- 7.5mm driveside spindle spacer
- 3mm non-driveside spindle spacer
- 3mm offset chainring
- For 56.5mm chainline:
- DUB SB+ crank spindle
- 9mm driveside spindle spacer
- 4.5mm non-driveside spindle spacer
- 3mm offset chainring
- Contact info@evil-bikes.com to acquire 1.5mm chainguide spacer required to accept 56.5mm chainline
What size chainrings can I use?
Round: 30-36t / Oval: 32t-34t
Will my bike accept 2x drivetrain?
No. The Offering LS is designed specifically around a 1x drivetrain.
Will my bike accept an aftermarket chain guide?
Yes. The Offering LS has lower ISCG05 tabs to accommodate aftermarket lower chain guides and bash guards.
What is my bike's rear axle spacing?
The Offering LS utilizes SuperBoost (12x157mm) rear spacing.
What are my rear axle specifications?
- Length: 180mm
- Diameter: 12mm
- Thread Pitch: M12x1.0
What size wheels and tires fit my bike?
The Offering LS is designed to accommodate 29" wheels with up to 2.6" tires. Front tire clearance is dependent on your fork manufacturer’s specifications, although most suitable forks will accommodate that same 29x2.6” tire
What seat post diameter does my bike utilize?
The Offering LS requires a 30.9mm seat post.
What seat post clamp diameter does my bike utilize?
The Offering LS requires a 34.9mm clamp diameter.
What is my frame’s maximum seatpost insertion depth?
Maximum insertion depths are as follows:
| Small | Medium | Large | X-Large |
| 210mm | 250mm | 260mm | 285mm |
What is the maximum dropper length I can run?
This answer depends on a number of variables & requires some simple math.
First, with your dropper extended, saddle in the pedaling position, measure the distance between your bottom bracket center & the center of the saddle rails. We’ll call this measurement “X”.
Next, a bit of simple math:
To determine “Y”, you’ll need to deduct your frame’s maximum insertion depth from it’s seat tube length, then add the desired dropper post’s total length.
Y = (Seat Tube Length) - (Maximum Insertion Depth) + (Dropper Post Total Length).
X = Distance from Bottom Bracket Center to Seat Rail Center.
If X < Y, the dropper in question will not work.
If X ≥ Y, the dropper in question will work.
Translated to English: If the resulting value “Y” is greater than than your bottom bracket to seat rail measurement “X”, the dropper in question will not work for you. If the resulting value “Y” is less than your bottom bracket to seat rail measurement, the dropper in question will work for you. If the configuration you are interested in does not mathematically pan out, you will need to investigate droppers with shorter total lengths.
What type of brake mount does my bike have?
The Offering LS includes post-mount 180mm rear brake studs (PM180). Front will vary depending on the fork manufacturer’s specifications.
What is my maximum rear brake rotor size?
The Offering LS accepts up to a 203mm rotor.
What type of headset does my bike require?
The Offering LS requires a “Zero Stack” ZS44/ZS62 headset. Few alternatives exist. Consult info@evil-bikes.com if you are interested in a headset that you are unsure about.
What type of steerer tube does my bike utilize?
The Offering LS requires a fork with a tapered steerer tube (1 1/8" - 1 1/2").
What is my frame's minimum steerer tube length?
With zero headset spacers, assuming a stem stack height of 40mm, your Offering LS requires a steerer length of no less than:
| Small | Medium | Large | X-Large |
| 145mm | 155mm | 165mm | 175mm |
Fork manufacturers recommend not exceeding 30mm of spacers below the stem. The provided measurements account for 0mm additional stack height (no spacers between stem & dust cap), with a 40mm stack height stem.
What fork offset should I run?
The Offering LS is designed around a 44mm fork offset. Other fork offsets will function perfectly well, although it is important to consider the concept of “mechanical trail” & how that affects a bike’s steering character. In laymen’s terms, all other variables held constant, more offset results in a more agile steering character, whereas less offset results in a more stable steering character.
How much fork travel can my bike accommodate?
The Offering LS is designed around a 150mm fork, although it can accept up to 160mm without detrimentally affecting the bike’s geometry.
How much travel (suspension) does my bike have?
The Offering LS has 141mm of rear wheel travel. Recommended fork travel (front) is between 150 and 160mm.
What size shock does my frame utilize?
The Offering LS requires a 185x55mm Trunnion-mount shock.
Can I long-shock my bike?
No. Due to clearance constraints, the Offering is not capable of running a shock any longer than its specified 185x55.
What size shock mount hardware does my bike require?
The Offering LS utilizes 8x20mm lower shock mount hardware.
